The Club Náutico at Playa de San Marcos is the village sailing club. Its pool and facilities are for members, but — and this is the part visitors miss — the bar and cafeteria are open to everyone.
The distinction worth knowing
From outside it reads as a private club, and most people walk past on that assumption. In practice you can walk in, order a drink or something to eat, and sit with a view over the bay.
Our hosts flag the prices specifically: this is a members’ club subsidising its bar, not a seafront terrace charging what the view is worth. Drinks and small plates cost noticeably less than a few doors along.
When to use it
It works best as the daytime option — a coffee before a swim, a beer and something small after one, lunch that is not a full sit-down meal. For the evening, Bar Brisamar across from the beach is the more natural nightcap.
Between them and the two village restaurants, that is essentially the whole of San Marcos’s hospitality. It is a small place, which is the reason most of our guests chose it.
Getting there
A few minutes downhill from the apartment, on the seafront. No car, no parking, no planning.
